I can't believe that you don't know who was George Washington. He is a father of our country, he is the person that led the revolutionary war and gave Colonies their freedom, he was the commander in cheif of American Army and most important he is the first president of USA. It's pitiful, really pitiful.

Oh by the way(poster above)-
Him releasing his slaves is kind of a misnomer.....he did but he left them to his wife Martha....they were to remain with her until she died...THEN they would be free.
Also..Martha was the one with money and many slaves came with her when she married George.....it was her second marriage.
