ok,
only serious answers, please.
how could Michigan and Ohio st play in the national championship game?
they play the last game of the year.
but it would be awsome if they both could play in the championship game.
so,
Ohio St beats michigan, the last game of the year. Ohio st goes to the game.
so what is the scenario:
we need:
W Virgina looses to Louisville
USC to loose to UCLA
would that do it?
michigan loosing to #1 in the country would most likley drop them too much. but hey, they are #1. they should loose to them.
any scenaro that would work?

They wouldn't be able to because if one loses to the other in the last game of the season, then chances are that one will drop out of the top 2.

First and for most, USC is going to loose to Cal. So forget about them being at the top.
I think if Michigan looses to Ohio State, why give them the National Championship Game to the same team that gave them their only regular season loss ?? That would be a dumb move from the BCS Committee and I'm about 99.9% sure that their aren't any scenarios that would have the Buckeyes and the Wolverines meeting in the Championship Game.
For the record I think that OSU and WV will play for the National Title, and WV will win !!! That's right !!!
Remember the 285 All-Purpose Yards and 2 TD's Garrett Wolfe hit OSU with in the season opener ??? Steve Slaton would do practically the same thing. The speed of Slaton and Pat White are very underrated, I mean just go back and watch the Sugar Bowl Game against Georgia last year when they jumped out on the Bulldogs like 35-0. OSU has a under-sized defensive line, and that's why they cant stop featured running teams, and thats why the Mountaineers are going to run up and down the backs of OSU.

No, They will not have re-match in the national championship game.
the winner of the WVU/ Louisville game will most likely go undefeated, neither of which deserves a shot at the national championship. (Look at their schedules)
USC is more likely to get beat by California
Since the beginning of Division I college football, there has never been a TRUE national champion.
By TRUE, I mean, the national championship was won on the FIELD instead of a POLL.
We have a playoff system in every division of football except Division I.
The BCS still sucks, Division I needs a playoff system, even if its just adding 1 game at the end of the bowls.
I like the Division II playoff system, and I think it would make the Division I college football season a whole lot more interesting.
ESPN tried to convey the same thing in the preseason, but I don't think the Division I college presidents care, all their interested in is money$$$. They would rather make a dollar than have a true champion.
Bottom line is a playoff system would let us (the fans) see a match-up like Michigan/Ohio St or Auburn/Florida or USC/Oregon or any other combination of same conference schools.
I pray that one day I live to see Division I playoffs.

It is not impossible, but highly, highly unlikely, usc would definitly have to lose, west virginia would have to lose, and florida and auburn would probably have to each lose again also, and Ohio State and Michigan would both need to play a very close and very impressive game from both teams, so in essence then what you would have is one team undefeated and out of all the rest of the teams the loser of that geme would have 1 loss, and be ranked higher than the rest of the 1 loss teams, In the bcs, 1/3 comes from your ranking in the usa today/coaches poll, 1/3 from computer rankings, and 1/3 from strength of schedule.

The only way it seems possible would be for Ohio St. to beat Michigan in OT or is an extremely close game so that the human polls don't drop Michigan too far. (Along with the losses you mentioned).

If I'm following you correctly, that would mean Ohio State was the only undefeated team. There would be several 1 loss teams and in your scenario Michigan goes because their only loss was to the #1 team. The problem is that there would be another team besides Michigan with only 1 loss and that loss was to the #1 ranked team also.
Hook'em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Louisville beats WVU(which they won't), they'll be undefeated, and #2 in the country, so the Championship would be Ohio State vs. Louisville.

Having two teams from the same conference play in the bcs title game would be CATASTROPHIC for the legitimacy the BCS claims to have.
For example, would you want to see the two teams in the SEC championship game play AGAIN in the BCS title game?
Me? NOOOOOOOO
I want to see two teams from DIFFERENT conferences in the title game, but I guess it's all up to the final BCS rankings, what I want doesn't mean **** in the picture.

USC will not lose to UCLA. Notre Dame is in sanctuary and Cal may not have enough glue. Louisville or W Virginia to lose v Ohio St.
