First you'd probably need to address where it is on your right side...i.e. is it below your ribs, or down near your underwear line. Second, does it come and go? Is it a constant stabbing pain? Does it hurt worse if you're standing or sitting or laying down? Have you had any fevers or nausea/vomitting/diarrhea? Unfortunately, when it comes to abdominal pain it can be so many different things which is why it helps to be as specific as you can. With pain on the right side of your abdomen the most common things you'll hear are gallbladder and your appendix, so you do need to pay attention to your symptoms. If the pain doesn't get better or it keeps coming back you need to see your doctor. It's always better safe than sorry.

Yes I am pretty sure I know what happened. I have PCOS so I get a lot of cysts on my ovaries. When you stood up the cyst likely ruptured. I have had that happen a lot. If the pain persists you may want to go to the dr.

If the pain persists it might be endometriosis. I would make an appointment with GYN and have them schedule a sonogram. Better safe than sorry..

it could be your sciatic nerve. (not sure if sciatic is the correct spelling)
