its definitely c.. by quantum mechanics Energy is defined something like as
E = [(nh*pi)^2]/8mL^2..
so you have n inside.. well that's for a quantum well.. for a spherical quantum well..its something like that but a bit more complicated.. it's C!

it has more energy. the higher the shell, the further away from the nucleus, the more energy it has. furthermore, the more energy it has, the more likely it is to create an ion.
