Just get a rock that protrudes above the water line. You only need to make the water deep enough for the turtle to swim(about 6-8 inches). There are these new logs out ,though for turtles.they aren't supposed to sink. The turtle can climb on top to bask,or go inside to hide.A rock is cheaper and works just fine.

If your turtle isn't too large, there is a type of ramp you can buy at a pet store. It has several suction cups that stick to the side, and a non-slip surface to keep the turtle from slipping.

'Rafts' are not the best solution- they are hard to get on for most turtles. Try a ramp/doc like this (http://www.petco.com/Shop/petco_Product_R_3092_PC_productlist_Nav_252_N_71+105+30_sku_915653_familyID_11628.aspx), a pile of rocks, a log, etc.

you can buy special logs that fit right into your system at the local pet shops, i just use a buch of creek rocks for them to climb out on.just make sure the can't climb over the edge, cause they love to climb and escape. good luck!
