plate appearances account for at bats including hits, walks, sacrafices, and hit by pitch etc.

PA/HR is a ratio (it is expressed in percentage).
Plate Appearances divided by Number of Home Runs multiplied by 100 gives the PA/HR number. The lower the number the more frequently the hitter hits home runs.

yes it is plate appearance and hrs or it could be plate appearances per homerun like 10 hrs in 100 ab so its 10 pa/hr
