You mean you've set it as your desktop background?
Right click on your desktop, select properties. A thing will pop up. In the tabs at the top, select Background. Now choose a new one.

It sounds as though your wallpaper has been replaced with the picture you saved. Go to Start>Control Panel and choose the Display icon. Click on the Desktop tab, and you will see a list of possible wallpapers that are presently on your system. Choose one of those, being sure to choose the "Stretch" option to the right of the list so that the image covers the entire desktop rather than only the center. Then click "Apply" and OK; your desktop should show the wallpaper that you chose.

Mert,
Right click the "small picture". Go down to where it says "Send to". Another sub menu will appear. You will have choices where you can send it to. Send it to "My documents". It should go to the My documents folder & then be placed in your "My Pictures" folder. If the "small picture" is still on your desktop after you have sent it to your documents, right click it, then click delete. It's that simple.
What you did when you scanned & saved it was, you saved it to your desktop instead of navigating to your "My Pictures" file from the "Save As" dialog box when you saved. Always pay attention to WHERE you are saving things when you save them. And always use the "Save As" option so you can select where it should go. Use the "Save" option when you are working on something that you have previously saved . Hope this helps.

It seems that you may have saved a 'smalll' picture after all!
Right click on the picture and see properties. It may be in reality a small file (low megapixels) as such if you were to 'enlarge' it, you may loose the clarity. If you intend to set it as your background, you may do so in the control panel/display/'select picture'.
You may tile it, or centre it whichever way, it will still appear small.
My sugestion is to look for an updated larger file of the same, if possible.

That is an "icon" it represents your photo. If you throw it in the trashcan, you will get rid of it, but also the photo you scanned will be gone. Put it in your 'my documents' folder, or wherever you choose to save your pics, if you want to access that photo later.

Either drag it to the folder you want it to be in, or double click on it to open it and do a "save as" to the folder you want it to be in. Once you have it where you want it you can delete it from your desk top.
