Hello!! :o) 'Gynecomastia' [Which literally translates to 'female like breasts] is quite common. And can certainly be the cause of so-called 'man-boobs'. But it's not always the cause. For many guys [Like myself] it's just a matter of being overweight. My 'breast' tissue is puffy and soft. Like ordinary 'fat' is. If it was fibrous or clumpy feeling - then chances are it would be gynecomastia. Which is confusing - I know. Why aren't all 'man-boobs' just called gynecomastia? I don't know. But they're not. IF what you have is what I have - then your best bet is losing body fat. [By exercising and eating better] But if it's gynecomastia - then it's likely that you will require surgery. [To remove the fibrous mass] A fairly reliable way to tell if what you have is gynecomastia is if you still have 'man-boobs' even AFTER you have lost your excess body fat. [Or were never overweight to begin with] Good luck with this. I know how you feel. I'm 43 years old and my 'big chest' had [and still has] a very negative impact on my self-esteem. Take care of yourself. Craig!! :o)

work those pec muscles!!!!! Pushups, butterflies... stuff like that. You can also do lots of cardio exercises, like running or skipping. If there are only certain areas you want to lose weight, wrap saran wrap around your target areas, in this case you chest. and put a shirt over top. This will make you sweat more and reduces retained water in that area. The fat will melt off.
P.S. Drink plain green tea 3 times a day.

If you drink alcohol, try not to sleep with it still in your stomach. Also give your food more time to digest before bed. Running is most effective in losing the weight in the chest. Secondary excercise would be butterflies for your pecs or simple pushups. Don't do surgery. Save money and get in better shape while you're at it!

There is actually a disease that some men have called like gyno-ma something... and you cannot just work them out.. you actually have to a breast reduction like women (watched something on discovery health channel). If that is not the case.. I suggest A LOT of bench presses and straight running!

If it is truly gyno mastica, take an anti-estrogen like...vitrex.
If not, diet and exercise.
