I have no problem with balancing equations, but I REALLY can't seem to get this one.
Help?
All numbers are subscript.

C2H5OH ------> CO2 + H2O

Looking for coefficients... Yeah.
THANKS!

Thanks, all.
I just got it :]
It should be written as a hydrocarbon + O2, not all as just one big compound.
Thanks for suffering with me, though! Haha

i think combustion has an O2 in it, this equation seems like its written wrong

I tried :| But I have a question for you: are you sure the eqn you have written is correct? I mean, doesn't ethanol normally react with oxygen (combustion) to produce carbondioxide and water? Are you sure there wasn't O2 in this eqn that you may have left out? :O

C2 H5 OH - is that even a compound- you can't do it- getting enough H and Con the product side gives you way too much oxygen

I think its written wrong maybe its suppose to be

C2H50H+02-----------CO2+H20

Than the balance equation should be
C2H5OH+302-----2C02+3H20

i dont think it is possible---- by adding hydrogen, you make the oxygens too high
