Holland and the Netherlands have the best. They allow gays to marry and have full equal rights with straights and society seems to be broadly pretty cool with it. The have lots of out gay elected officials.

South Africa specifically outlaws discrimination against gays in its constitution - the only country to do so, but South African society is still intolerant of gays. The supreme court there recently ordered the legislature to pass a law allowing gays to marry, but there's much public sentiment against it.

Canada's high court required that gays be allowed to marry, and the UK has a decent domestic partnership law and in the cities, gays are well accepted, but gays have yet to achieve the kind of broad societal acceptance they have in the Netherlands.

Any Muslim country where Sharia (Islamic law) governs will have a terribly oppressive approach to gays. Many still punish people caught having gay sex with imprisonment or death.

Europe - and Holland approves gay marriages.

And Asian countries have the worst gay rights, they still dont accept it so gays are pretty much against the society if they are proudly to be one in these countries ( Thai has millions trans-gender, but still doesnt approve gay marriages)
