Whenever I change the desktop, it stays there.

I change desktop pics regularly. I take a pic and click on having it put as desktop and it's done. The old is gone and the new one is there...... I don't know what you have going on there with yours....

Right click on the picture and drop down to delete.

click settings (98 or ME)> control panel> display> on background tab, choose another wallpaper, click apply, then click close.

If that deos not work, click settings,> control panel> add/remove software, select title of wallpaper (if it is there), click add/remove. That should send it to recycle bin or delete it entirely.

If not listed in add/remove, go to programs, and see if it is there, or try my pictures, etc, till you find it, and delete.
