Since I work at a public school where everything fun has to have a purpose.... (don't get me started)
We are supposed to dress as our favorite book character. I have a lot of favorite books but I can't think of a cheap, simple book character costume.
(no Emporer's new Clothes jokes please)

How about (I forgot her name) from the Scarlet Letter. Dress in that time period and pin a red "A" on your dress.
