I have done both for about the same amount of time for both. Experienced both for a period of 17 years each. When in a relationship with a person who breaks the rules thus has no honor then there is no differance. There is a distinct advantage however when both people are honorable. When both are honrable then one has the freedom to express otherwise repressed feelings and experience agape love. In a relationship where no or little honor is present one must understand there may be reprsals to the point of severe pain being inflicted so some of you must be hidden, and if these areas get expressed then an end becomes eminent, and healing is avoided and the injured part gets worse instead of better. Too psychological???

Because they want to be right with God.
Because if you have children it is better for them.
The commitment gives you a reason to stay together during the difficult times, it is nice as you get older to have shared memories, and a history together, to see your kids grow up together, to solve problems together, and to have someone you love by your side through the good times and the bad.
