I'm just going to rattle off titles that I have done in high school or that would be interesting to do and you can choose which ones you might be interested in (language editing for these selections as needed):

Play On!
Murder in the House of Horrors
Sing On!
The Crucible (or anything from Arthur Miller)
The Foreigner

Go Back for Murder (or anything from Agatha Christie)

In highschool, my class chose "Episode 26." Its a crazy sci-fi spoof of old "B Roll" movies. There are a decent number of character roles for men and women, and many that can be either. The set can be as elaborate or "cheap" looking as you guys can prepare based on your budget. In fact, the WORSE the set looks, the better (since its a spoof of old cheaper budget movies)! We spent most of our budget on costuming and make-up, but that was just our decision.

But definately check it out. It has some genuine humor in it for the adults, and all the cheezy stuff good for the younger audience. Great overall piece, and fun for everyone.

Arsenic and Old Lace, also, Inheret the Wind are some of my favorites. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is excellent, and The Little Foxes.

Tartuffe by Moliere----really funny! Good male and female roles. Tartuffe is a religious con man; he fools some but not others. Don't let its age fool you; Moliere was ahead of his time. I have even seen a version set in present time with Tartuffe as a crooked televangelist.
