I agree that there are way too many to list and because your question is dated from 1991 to 2006, that's quite a task to even contemplate an answer, so I'd have to go with films that have struck me as either inspiring, comic genuis, thought-provoking and all the other emotions that appear when watching.

The Usual Suspects. Kevin Spacey completely stole the show. His every facial expression, shifty eyes, body movement was perfect. I have watched it many times on DVD and every time he was on screen I was spellbound. Where on earth did he learn to act like that?
