What El color runs to campus?
Are the campuses in a nice area to live?
Is it easy to commute from other parts of town, such as north side or near the lake?
Are there interesting things to do and see around campus?
Any details or thoughts about the area around UIC is helpful, thanks!!

The area around UIC is okay. However, it is rapidly become very expensive. If you are on the east campus, anywhere along the blue line is a good choice. If you're a full time student, you will get a U-Pass, and that will give you unlimited CTA rides for the semester for $95.
The UIC site actually has an off campus housing listing. You might want to look at it.
