Has anyone had this done? Does it hurt as bad as waxing? Less than tweezing?

Is it expensive?

Also, how, exactly, does it work?

I've had it done. It hurts less than waxing, and fairly the same as tweezing, BUT it's very easy to get used to the pain, eventually you won't feel it much. It has the same results as waxing, ex. thinner hairs, comes out sooner, etc. I wouldn't know if it was expensive because my mom knows how to thread very well, but i heard an area like your face shouldn't be over $20. The method is simple. A knot is made with the thread, but it is not pulled together. Instead, it's just the circle left of the remaining knot. You bring the thread to the area in which you want it to be threaded, and rub the thread against it in the same place. You then pull the thread together, as if you were tightening the knot. Make sure not to pull it all the way or to the point where you can't untie it. It should go back to being the aforementioned hole, where you can continue threading hairs.

Hope this helps!

It sounds more painful than it actually is! In NYC, it's about $6 per eyebrow. They take 2-3 feet of special cotton thread and wrap it around the hair to be removed and essentially pluck it out like a tweezer but again, sounds more painful than it actually is!

OMG, threading HURTS!! I was in torture and was too polite to stop. I will never do it again, I am fair-skinned maybe that's why it hurt so bad. Waxing is MUCH better for me.

It is popular amongst middle eastern women i think, they are the ones that know how to do it. They did my friend in about 5 minutes and they charged her $2.00...They kind of get a peice of string and hold it as if there playing a game like when you used to do when you were a kid with rubber bands, anyhow they hold it all twisted with the index fingers and thumbs & they roll the twisty part on your eyebrows or over you skin and i think when they roll it the twisty thingy kind of pulls out your hair?!

Not sure how much it costs, but it does hurt as much as waxing - perhaps even a little more - but the pain doesn't last forever.

its painful at first but you get used to it. i dont really know the price range but im pretty sure you can loo it up on line. what they do is pull out individual hairs by tying thread around it and pulling. and it last really long
