I don't like them at all. I think they're a waste of time. I read real books.

I use to read them. It's no different then men having fantasies of hot woman they'll never have or watching porn. Since some of them, the ones I perfered, were the really erotic ones. Cause reading something so well writen can be a turn on just as much if not more then watching porn. Sometimes they had great plots and used a lot of real history which also made it interesting. Some were cheesy but once you find the authors that write the type you enjoy you stick with that.
Lately I've been reading other stuff but certainlly nothing wrong with a romance once in a while.

I personally read romance (especially historical), mysteries, and science fiction books. Not all romance books are cheesy. Some are really interesting. I love to escape from reality and these books are the way. Some people escape with TV and other hobbies others escape with books.

I am a woman and personally I can't stand reading those stupid romance books. I am more into fiction and mystery books. I think the reason some women read those novels is because they are lonely for male companionship or if they are married already do not get enough romance from their mates.
That's just my opinion of course.

i'm in my 50's and that i've got liked romance novels on account that i became in my 20's. they might desire to be good and correctly-written however--there is lots gentle porn rubbish accessible. women who do no longer locate the romance and love of their life that they choose for now and back seem to romance novels for what they're lacking. My guy's mom is in her 60's, quite a few circumstances divorced, and reads them with no lead to sight.

Women get off on words, men on images. It's all fantasy, either way. You won't get the redhead in the leather bra whipping the blonde with the great lighting and camera angles, we won't get the tough but sensitive, romantic dude who sensitively cares about our troubles and wants to hear all about the nightmare I had last night. It's all okay though. Real life is better.
I don't read that crap anyway. But pretending I did, I woould say that's why.

actually I don't read them but it is probably a wish for some excitement and romance in our lives. There are very few romantic men out there. They are as rare as hen's teeth. Women love romance from our guy!!!

Because our lives will never be so interesting so we just like to pretend for awile that it is. My favorites are the Historical Romances, way more action.

Because its a fantasy, and we'll never find that passion with a regular man. Guys in those books are hot.
