I am growing a small sapling of a Giant Sequoia Redwood tree. For 10 months it was doing fine. I have it in a 5 gal container. I was spraying it daily to simulate the fog that rolls in from the Calif coast, and watering once a week. Redwoods can grow in my area. Recently the needles are all turning brown. Am I overwatering, under watering? Can it be saved?

Does the container have drainage holes? Does the dirt smell bad? Did you test the soil you used and check with your local extension service?
I'm guessing-- yellowing needles have several reasons-- water is one. I'm also guessing that you used regular "dirt" whereas I think these trees grow in heavy needle litter-- which spells acidic soil to me-- so, I would check with that extension service-- they are usually connected with an Ag college, which have changed their name over the years from XYZ A&M to XYZ State University.
You have an investment in that seedling-- good luck

That human being became correct. i'm particular you said timber that were huge and tall, yet they weren't redwoods. The timber contained in the realm round Auburn are more effective alongside the lines of pine timber and fir timber, possibly with a touch cedar or o.ok.contained in the blend. The tall redwood timber are the Coast Redwood and are stumbled on a lot in route of the California coast. the large sequoia timber, also redwoods, are a lot farther south of Auburn, round Sequoia nationwide Park. Sandoro is ideal, there would were some redwood timber there that folk have planted. so that you've considered a redwood tree or 2 in a persons' backyard. yet when you're speaking about the organic wooded area contained in the realm, there are not any redwood timber.
