Yes. It tends to become bacteria laden after that period of time. You can keep it longer if you don't pump the wand back and forth. This introduces born air and airborne particles into the tube. Instead, insert the wand and twist.

Yes. It doesn't matter how often you use it, it just matters on if you have used it. It is moist inside the bottle, so it is really easy for germs to grow. I will say I don't always follow that rule and I have yet to gotten an eye infection.

I havent and I havent had any problems. If I get something like pink eye... which I did once then I threw it out.... I can understand that. But just to get rid of it no. I wouldnt. Didnt hurt me. They probably tell you that so you buy more!

if your mascara if dry and clumpy then yes if it is not then no beucase what is the sence of wasting ur money on a new one that is still good so if it was me it would have to come downe to dry and clumy

That's what my mary-kay consultant said and it will be come unhealthy if you don't get rid of it! If you don't want to spend any money just go to walmart it's cheap and works so well! Tootles

bacteria begins to grow after six weeks if you've opened it and used it, even once. Now, you don't want to get pink eye!
