Simply by not advocating the idea that if one can make the initial enemy friends again their would be no conflict amongst you. That is why this proverb has not shaped the history of conflict among
the milieu. Leaving us with a misunderstood lesson lost in translation.
God bless us all...

i think "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" is rather more simple than it really sounds. First off, what is your enemy? They're you're enemy for a reason, but their enemy is not necessarily your enemy. So to get rid of your enemy, in a sense, is to join forces with that person's enemy. Call it "team-up" if you will.
this really makes sense in history when everybodys trying to take over each other, they depend on allies to do the job.

Almost every conflict on earth is subject to this philosophy. For instance WW2 the allies and the axis. As long as there are conflicts it will be one of the biggest shapers of history.

There are many concrete example for this in Indian history.
I will quote one here. Prithvi Raj chauhan was a Hindu king of Delhi1000 years back. He abducted his beloved Samyukata Daughter of Jayachand king of kannauj. so he became the enemy of Jayachand. Mohammad ghori of North west Afghanistan invaded India and Prithvi raj chauhan routed him in the battle. Jaychand made a treaty with ghori to assist him in defeating prithvi raj chauhan. Thus Prithvi raj wasdefeated and taken prisnor by Ghori

Hold your friends close and your enemies closer"
So, hold your friends close. Hold your enemies closer. And hold your friends’ enemies just as close. Do this with sincerity and a genuine commitment to those other people, and you will never want for solid business, political, and personal relationships, not to mention good friends.
