Well, imagine you are in this little island were it is very hot all year long. You live with 50 people, but after a very violent movement in the tectonic plates the little island separates and part of it goes to the very cold region, and the other part goes to an even hotter region. After years and years...the life that was in the cold region had become used to live inthere. They have developed mechanisms for survival and everything. The same happenend in the hot region. The movement of these plates generates new variations of species, due to the adaptation process they go though in order to survive.

If you're talking about when the Earth was all joined together like Pangaea, then it might have been the change of climate when the plates moved to diffrent places on the Earth. It could also be because some species that were in the middle of the fault were separated and one became more diffrent than the other.

Allopatric speciation. The actual separation of a species by geographic means. Plate tectonics could lead to a mountain range being erected, for example.
Mr. Moo and Heinz M., be ashamed, very ashamed.

At one point the continents were all hooked together and through plate motions, they have split apart into separate bodies, so to speak. They say that the isolation of the animals that were on the big land mass and the different conditions that the animals had to face (due to the latitude that the plates settled at) caused the animals to mutate (through evolution/survival of the fittest) to form new species.
The isolation theory is how biologists explain the unique species of the Galapagos islands.

When the continents were all one big Pangea, there was not as much variety in species. When the continents drifted apart, it created different climates and geologies, and species evolved to meet the needs of their new environments, creating new species and more diversity.

nicely, youthful Earth Creationists think of the international is approximately 6000 years outdated. I style of doubt they settle for that. something with reference to the international changing gets lumped mutually, the enormous Bang, evolution- all of them bypass against their blind conception that God did it in simple terms because it extremely is. They for sure will no longer be able to work out reason, they %. the evidence they desire. some could locate some thank you to settle for it yet they could nevertheless be ignoring the certainty that it take tens of millions of years which shows a foul be attentive to-how of those theories and technology normally. regardless of the shown fact that those are in simple terms the YECs, you will have self assurance God created over billions of years interior the trail of the enormous Bang and evolution.
