I always thought of granolas as hippie sympathizers.
A granola girl would (for example) support environmental causes etc. even wear hippie skirts....but keep alot of main stream elements.
She might be in school and serious about her career, have a stylish hair cut and combine this with earthy, hippie clothes, support mostly liberal causes (she might have some concealed consevative notions) and eat healthy. She may dress earthy and hippy on occasions and more mainstream on others.
That's what I consider a granola girl to be. Someone that wets their feet in the hippie lifestyle but doesn't jump all the way in.
Long live the granola girls!

Examples of these are "a porker" meaning "a fat person who eats a lot", "She has big eyes/hands." means that the girl has big breasts and "mosquito bites" are small breasts. "Look at Tiffany`s fake-bake!" suggests that Tiffany has paid a few visits to a tanning salon and a very Californian "She`s a crunchy granola girl." tells us that the girl is natural-looking and has a healthy life-style and diet.
