Orange flame isn't a big problem. Yellow flame is a BIG problem. You might need to add a little more air to the mixture by adjusting the vents.

Use a needle or similar & clean out the holes on the burner. If its still not blue then lift the top & adjust the air shutter which is located at the manifold behind the knobs. If it has a set screw loosen it so you can turn it easily. Add more air until you get full blue but if the flame begins to lift off the burner or get to noisy then reduce the air a little. It should be easy enough to get the right mix. If that doesn't work then the burner will need to be taken out & either soaked in the sink or verify there isn't rust inside the burner.

A little orange is OK... but the blue flame is what you are striving for.. not the orange.. Open up the top and you should see(on most burners) an adjustment that can be made to adjust the amount of gas that is allowed to escape thru the burner.. I have had to do that in the past but I did it by adjusting the screw on the side of the burner..

It can be dangerous: It could mean that your flame is making carbon monoxide because something is clogged.
