would I still count 14 days from the first day of my last period ..... I thought I heard that ovulation only occurs 14 days after your cycyle..., when your on a 28 day cycle! Can someone please tell me... what is the most likely day I would ovulate on a 25 day cycle???

Go to www.babyhopes.com they have an ovulation calendar where you enter the date of your last period and it will give you an approximate ovulation date on the day before, during and after take ovulation tests to make sure you are ovulating. Best wishes!

With a 25 day cycle you would most likely ovulate on day 11. Your luteal phase(the time between ovulation and your period)is what is 14 days. It rarely changes. Therefore in an 'average' 28 day cycle you would ovulate around day 14. But with your average 25 days that would put you closer to day 11.

No it would most likely not be on day 14. I think it would be closer to day 12. You can go to babycenter.com or fertilityfriend.com and calculate it. I suggest using an ovulation predictor they work well and help narrow down the days you are most likely to get pregnant. You can buy them at any drug store for about 14 to 24 dollars. Hope this helps

So you are aware that to get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.
After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. (That is the best way to check your ovulation.) If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.
After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.
Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

count 14 days before your next period is due. so it would be day 11.
