I know skin, but do you think urban music is part of the black culture

It was started by black people so it is part of their culture. It doesn't make them black though. No more then country music (gag) makes white people white. The only thing that makes them black is their ancestry. Just like I'm white but I'm also dutch and German. Doesn't mean I wear wooden shoes and hate Jewish people, that's not who I am it's just a part of the culture associated with that ancestry. So just because rap music is associated with black people doesn't mean they all listen to it.

Sure it is part of the black American culture. Do you think the Sudanese have urban music in their culture? I think the Sudanese are black in skin but have little urban or hip-hop in consideration of that culture's norms.

I wonder about this question also. I hate to call myself black but I have nappy hair which is a distinct black feature. Other than that, I don't look or act black. It is like someone forcing you into a triangler hole when you are a square peg.

hip-hop has it's own culture. but the black culture consists of course of skin color....your roots...and ....umm....i cant think of anymore things

No, because all the white folks try to emulate you. That's a compliment. It's always been that way in my lifetime. Motown, ----DooWop, Elvis, Blues........ (By the way I am white )
