1. f(x)= x -2
2.f(x)= 1-x
3.f(x)= x+6
4.f(x)= 5 - x
5.f(x)= 2x -1

Just make two columns, with x and f(x)

For example:
x | f(x) = x - 2
0 | -2
1 | -1
2 | 0
3 | 1
4 | 2
5 | 3

You just need a few values to show the pattern.

x | f(x) = 1-x
0 | 1
1 | 0
2 | 1
3 | 2
4 | 3
5 | 4

etc.

Remember to get the value in the right column, just plug in the value in the left column into the equation. Put the result into the right column...

x = 0
f(x) = x + 6
f(0) = 0 + 6
f(0) = 6

So you would start the columns as:
x | f(x) = x + 6
0 | 6
1 | 7
etc.

I think you can take it from here...

For each of the equations make a column of x values and next to each one work out the function. Ex: #1):

x f(x)
-3 -5
-2 -4
-1 -3
0 -2
1 -1
2 0
3 1
