I would talk about the little know but highly important, chicken strike of 1926. The Chicken farmers of the US felt that the price of Chicken has fallen so much since the end of the first world war that they might have to sell the farm and go out of business. The agricultural sector is full of sad stories like this. The chicken farmers formed a collective to pressure Washington for subsidies. This was the start of agricultural lobbing, and farmer subsidies in the US.
