It has been my experience that northern and southern cities are different. Historically they were built on different occupations. The north has always been more industrial as the south and this shows in parts of the cities, Detroit especially.

I am talking mostly east coast.

I have lived in Detroit, Atlanta, San Francisco and Chicago.

Atlanta comes to mind. Bad traffic, over developed, high crime, over populated, contiguous suburbs for a hundred miles in any direction, over taxed airport, illegal aliens.......
