Make your invitation a singing one with you or a hired person to wear a Cupid's outfit or big heart and go to each person's house to invite them. That will get them excited about the party since you took so much trouble just for an invitation!Give each perosn an invitation and put some of the things that you will be doing on it along with time and place. That will get them to thinking ahead about movies and characters to dress as which will help make the party be more successful. Have a costume party with famous lovers as the theme.Couples come as couples(Lucy and Ricky) and singles as the one that always gets away or like Valentino. Do charades of love movies(put the movie's names on slips of paper to draw from ahead of time),sing or read one line of a song and have two teams try to guess the next line.Add points up for all games and have 1st, 2nd, 3rd place for overall winners. Give prizes for the most outlandish, best try(especially if it is hard for someone to dress up or if the costume doesn't look like it is supposed to!),or neatest and any other titles you can think of. Give these to the people who don't win the other overall prizes. You can also ask what love means to each person or what their spouse or gf/bf mean to them if you want some lovey dovey feeling maybe before dancing time or right at the end of the party. They will go home with warm fuzzy feeling and continue their own private party!!!You could try karoke of love songs if your group likes that. You can have dancing also.Just decide the order of activities and have everything set up before hand and you can enjoy the party also.Food can be easy . Serve salty peanuts, pretzels and/or chips to counteract the sweets of choclate candy, cookies,Red Velet cake, punch, etc. You can do crackers and small bread slices and cheeses, meats, olives, pickles etc on a tray or two.Just decorate behind the buffet and the table and maybe the front door. This will be an easy party, easy to clean up and plenty of fun things to do.Remember to serve coffee or tea or colas at the end of the party about 30 - 60 min before people leave if they have been drinking or if the party isn't over until very late.Safety for friends is a must! Have fun!

last year,I held a Valentine's day party and it is very successful, althrough it 's very normal party but I hope it can give you a good idea. The day before I found a place to hold this party,it is a nice place with fantastic view ,it is locate in a coast, nearby a beach and jungle,we perpare some facilities for dancing and decurate it like a cyber planet, also with some lottery and prize and excited games like "kiss session".what is this ? this is a conquest which rules is spend the less time to drink all the beer in a huge glass. The winner can choose a girl or men to kiss, but the loser would be published .all of the candidate should use any way they can to drink all the beer. And noone want to be lost.Oh,one thing because it is a music party so you have to invite many friends to join that.It must funny if this party crowed
of people................

I GAVE A VALENTINE'S PARTY LAST YEAR. I made sure everyone who received an invitation wear either something red or pink. I BOUGHT DECORATIONS FROM Target that had hearts, cupids and candy on them. We danced, ate, and everybody watched the movie "Valentine". We had fun, but the catch was everyone had to bring a dish or drink that was red or a Valentine theme such as; heart shaped cookies, red velvet cake, meatloaf, fruit punch, Remy Red, red bean soup, stuffed red peppers, spicy shrimp, just to name a few.

This is probably a dumb idea, but what about a "French Royalty" theme? You've got the Three Musketeers, King Louis, Marie Antoinette and Napoleon at least.

You should decorate with pink and red. Invite people whether they are single or not. You should have a singles bar, and a couples corner. You'll should play matchmaker games or something also.

just put on a theme that has to do with love, put pink and red decorations all over the place, put all kind of foods, but mostly red and pink (licorice, twizzlers, pink and red cupcakes, punch, soda, chips and dips, cookies, etc), tell every body to come dressed in red or pink or in costumes that has to do with love.
