some current events are finding of new species, tons of them in the secluded parts of the rainforests! these species are so rare or almost on the verge of extinction which is sad! what else is happening is global warming which affects the rainforests and the animals that live here and threatening their lives even more! it is difficult to protect rain forests because there are one too many new species of animal, plants and fish being discovered yearly except that they are extinct! the US first and foremost needs to cut back on all the pollution and waste since it is the number 1 consumer of resources yet also the country with too much pollution and trash! the US neede to sign the treaty which would of made them cut down on pollution, trash, and so forth-all things that lead to global warming! also the rainforests are at a danger since the climate is reaching even more all time high's!because if the largest consumer and waste producing countries do not cut back the matters will get worse! as well as the cutting down of the trees at a fast pace and rate! farmers having their animals graze on the land as well as many and various crops such as coffee, soya, and more

People cut down huge areas of trees, then burn the land so they can plant crop there illegally.
