Dearest Brian, the name won't mean anything to our friends in the States and in truth, since Z cars and a few spots with the RSC and the National, ir doesn't mean much in the UK. A one trick pony (Loud mouth) he is now telling us that very little modern theatre excites him and mumbles about the good old days and great actors of yore. Last I heard of Brian, he had gone 28,000 feet up Everest without oxygen- Says it all.

Why have a go at Brian?

If he is just saying what he feels - he is no different to you, me or anyone else on here!

I also feel that London theatre is too focused on West End Musicals (and now the horror of musicals of existing films & Disney cartoons!).

That could be interesting, but not exciting.

Just Chill, Spotty! It's all good in the end.

I saw him once in the New Picadilly restaurant London, eating peas off a fork. Big chap. It was about 5 years after he shouted "Diiiiiive" in Flash Gordon. I think there isn't enough serious drama in London but there is some and BB would do better to accentuate the positive..

You mean Brian Blessed! Everybody wants things 'the way it use to be'. Nothing stays the same.

He was brilliant in Cats though.
I saw him rolling around on the stage at the interval and keeping the audience entertained all on his own.

Ah, but YOU haven't worked with him.
I've seen him doing much more sensitive work than 'Gordon's alive!' and being PC Fancy Smith.
But then, YOU only deal in cliches.
