That's their job. If you don't want them knocking on your door, don't pose a credible threat.

It's illegal to threaten the president, no matter who you are. Investigating these threats and determining whether they are serious or not is the Secret Service's job. 4 Presidents have been assassinated. 15 others had assassination attempts against them. 19 out of 43, that's nearly half including EVERY President since Nixon. That track record alone makes it necessary to go after any and all threats.

What it basically comes down to is that no, the 1st Amendment does NOT give you the right to threaten someone's life.

Even though we have free speech, a threat against the country (includung the prez) is not taken lightly. If you dont agree, go to CNN or Foxnews. I am sure that they would be very interested in running a segment on this.

I think it was right because she threatened the President of the USA! This is illegal in the USA!

Anytime anyone makes these kind of threats I report them to the FBI!
