so lorne under your strategy increasing unemployment in germany is making them more competitive

John Redwood? He is the dimmest man in government. The front benches of both parties had their IQ's tested and J Redwood was the doziest. Never mind Gordon Brown was the smartest, but that is not saying a lot is it?

The UK is falling behind our main competitors, the USA, Australia, New Zealand and the Republic of Ireland. Industry in the UK is falling behind German industry, currently entering its golden autumn on the back of capital goods demand from the rising economies of Asia. We need to take substantial action to increase the number of good jobs for British people, and to raise the standard of living as well as the quality of life.

We need a more successful economy to pay the bills for better public services, and to afford the flexibility the new workforce needs and deserves.

It is going to require strong and rapid action in transport, energy, regulation, taxation, and education to change aspirations and to offer something to the millions caught in unemployment, on disability benefit, or still in low paid uninteresting jobs.

deffo agree on this one! did you see that redwood trying to sing the welsh national anthem when he was the welsh Secretary of wales? what a tosspot! IMHO, they threw away the baby and kept the fri**ging afterbirth in his case! As for the other one..........I wont even go there..........................
