I live in a 1600 square foot house with a decent sized back yard in Austin Texas. There are currenly 59 people that say they will attend and another 10 that might attend. I'm providing beer and a margarita machine. I'm 28 and I don't know anyone who was invited that is under the age of 25. I plan to talk to my neighbors to give them a heads-up, but I'm worried about violating fire codes for too many people in the house or city ordinances for too many cars on the street. Where should I check for this type of information?

Check with your local municipal office to see if there are any city ordinances about parking, etc.

Heads up - dont let your guests drive home drunk. If they wreck you could be held liable (not to mention the risk of hurting themselves or others)

Have fun - sounds like a good party :-)

That's alot of people for such a small place but if you do it mostly outside, you might be OK. The cars might be a problem. Have you considered hiring a couple of guys to valet?

Invite as a lot of people as achievable, and prefer above pronounced, tell those people to deliver people. p.c.. an exceedingly sturdy, and in step with risk greater low-maintenance topic to inspire people to return. it is likewise possible to need to forgo a dress-appropriate topic so people are not scared off by the assumption-approximately doing artwork for a occasion. finally, do as lots lobbying as achievable, pester people, facebook it, do no longer enable it in simple terms fade into the historic past.

If the cops come and you are worried about what they might find I can suggest a video I just watched produces by an agency called www.flexyourrights.org you can find it if you google ACLU "busted" you can also find it on you tube. It helps you understand your rights as well as educate you on what police officers do to intimidate you.
