Great advice on talking with your doctor. It depends where you are in your gestation on ibuprofen. Early in gestation, under 27 weeks, You can take it.
28 weeks and above, Don't take. It is an NSAID and another type of NSAID is used for the heart valves in infants to close a ductus arteriosis and the possibility of this happening is why it's not recommended.
As stated by others, Tylenol is always safer.

No.

According to the 2002 Nursing Drug Handbook (that is, the drug handbook for nurses), Ibuprofin is "Not Rated" for pregnancy risk.

Under "Nursing Consideratoins" for this drug, it says, simply, "Use of this drug during pregnancy is not recommended."

Acetominaphen (Tylenol), on the other hand, is pregnancy cagetory risk B. Not in the "Absolutely safe to take" (A) category, but not likely to do harm, either.

Ibuprofen is an anti inflammatory, which means it increases blood flow in your body, to relieve pain, but increased blood flow in your body means increased blood flow in your tiny little baby's body, which he or she can not keep up with, which will result in miscarriage, to much blood pumping to your baby over loads your baby, and don't listen about the sudafed, it as a drug is no longer to take while pregnant either, the only way to go is regular strength tylenol

not a really good thing to do unless your in a lot a pain. Absolutely not in the third trimester. If you go into labor and give birth you might not stop bleeding if take ibuprofen. Tylenol is the best thing to take.

The first person is right, Tylenol is the recommended pain reliever while pregnant. Definitely ask your Dr. though, and do NOT take aspirin at all.

No, I was advised by my dr to take Tylenol instead. Never really got a good answer as to why though lol. Of course, check with your dr. first before taking any meds.
