He is singing to the poor or his people so to speak. His inspiration are the people he gets his loot from, which is ironic. It's very ironic that he claims to be helping or trying to make things better by rythematically keeping people dazed or distracted with music, if he was really serious he would be a leader and not just another voice. Hymns from him is a god reference, but who really knows if it's god or other where the rymes come from. He thinks he is here for greater good, but doesn't understand his own effects, he isn't making any problems go away by singing or rymeing. Heart of kunte kinte, so he thinks he is freeing slaves or something to this nature, which you don't free slave by having them purchase your music, he is in fact helping them stay slaves in that line of work.
The whole thing flows with irony to me, he is someone who talks big but fails to do anything of consequential matter or lasting effect, this song will be forgotten in a year or less.

it rhymes well, but some of it makes no sense, and it sounds like you were rhyming just for the sake of rhyming, there's no soul in some parts.
