I would highly recommend to everyone, to use cold water always for washing clothes and I use Purex powder which I pay $1.98 for a 3lb, I have four children, for stains I use spray and wash, and a nail brush if necessary, dawn dish soap for hard to remove stains, this may require a few times but I generally get a stain out first by hand. Hot water usually "sets" a stain, but I bet you if you re-wash in cold water with any color safe bleach, you will be okay
Also, spray and wash leaves a bad smell in my opinion, so I generally wash that load twice. Try washing at least twice, before drying. If you have to use hot water for whatever reason, always wash in cold first. This has always worked well for me Good Luck

Use Clorox Pen sample. Squeeze the fine point tip and rub it on the stain. Then, leave it for a while, before you wipe it dry with a towel. You may as well visit this site http://www.upkb.com/cloroxpen.php for the product details.

CLR might work.
I read once that bleach sets rust stains. Don't use bleach.
