I'm 42 and I'm going to dress up like a christmas (halloween) tree and my black dog will become a skunk....he's a stinker! Use your imagination!! (And you're not too old IF you're helping to keep an eye out on the tots!! Maybe you have a friend who is going with a younger sibling...tell your mom you were asked to go along to help 'babysit'!!)

ok, i know this sounds stupid but you should dress in normal clothes and put a paper bag over your head. my cuz did it and everyone luved it.
you could also be a crazy lady. straighten or curl your hair and put it in a very high ponytail or messy bun. if you have short hair, spike it. then wear crazy heels or something like that. it would be better if they were different shoes. wear a bunch of unmatching clothes.
one year, me and my cuz dressed up ALL in pink and called it pink people.
do something weird like those and you should be fine. i very highly doubt you'll get a house where they won't give you candy because you were on a budget or something like that.
