It's usually considered to begin with the start of puberty. This varies from person to person and is usually a bit earlier for girls than for boys. It's typically 10 - 13 years of age.

umm, in health my teacher said that this is contravercial (some say its at 10, other say at 12), but it is mostly accepted that adolesence normally begains at 11. Again, it is contravercial, some people develope b4 others, and some after, there really isn't a set age.

It varies from person to person, anywhere from age 10 to 14. If you feel attracted to, or feel uneasy in the presence of, the opposite sex, you are getting there.
But don't roll a red carpet, or hold your breath for it !
