I found two different science sites that made this confusing. One said that the invention of the Particle Accelerator was in Cambridge, England. And the other site said it was invented in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Which one is correct?

Neither one of them.

The earliest circular accelerators were cyclotrons, invented in 1929 by Ernest O. Lawrence at the University of California, Berkeley.

I thought it was Massachusetts, but, don't hold me to it.
