Just stop being shy. Easier said then done i know but i have been in your exact shoes UNTIL i realized it was pointless to care what people thought of me. I would get nowhere if i always cared what everyone else thought of me. You are who you are and if people can't accept you or don't like you, tough luck, you shouldn't change yourself for them or keep yourself quiet and shy because you're afraid of what they'll think. You might want to make some close friends a "clique" to help you come out more, than just start talking to other kids around you, in different classes. Asl them about things they seem interested in, if they're in your class, ask them for help, maybe they need help, etc.. theres so many ways you can talk to people without sounding dumb. Just remember life is too short to live it restricted. Be yourself and theres bound to be people out there who will love to hang out with you and be around you, you just got to let them see you. Its tough and a big risk (depends on how shy you really are) but afterwards you enjoy it. TRUST ME! i like being either neutral or outgoing way better then when i was a shy person no one even knew existed.

You miss out on a lot when you are shy. Just relax and remember that everyone gets nervous, but lots of people know how to get over it faster than others. Just relax and be your self and always remember that no one is better than you. Also remember that no one will hurt you for coming out of your shell. It just lets them know you a bit more. Share your beautiful personality with the rest of the world. Not just your family & friends.

Dude you sound just like me. i am a 10th grader this year and i am this really shy person or at least i was. i remember my freshmen year i would only talk to my friends and family nobody else, but i couldnt live with that anymore. you know i saw all of the "popular" kids sit there and talk and i was like if they can do it then i can to. but what really helped me was my english class. my teacher would sit there and joke around with us and it was just a class that i felt comfortable in and a class that i could speak my own opinion in. so the more i talked in that class to people i dont know the more i talked in my other classes. so you know you have to start out by finding that class or that person and just gradually work your way up and before you know it you will be getting yelled at for talking to much.

I was shy too. Listen, don't be afraid of approaching your classmates to just chat. If you stand off by yourself and don't talk, some might think you are being stuck-up or rude. Find some kids that you might have the same likes in common with and just start a conversation.

I'm like that too sometimes I just jumped into people conversations. If I could relate to them or it wasn't to personally. Say they are talking about a game, ask a question about it. Just don't be to pushy. If they are okay people they won't put you down
