on start up i get a message elling me this copy of windows is not genuine,i know for a fact that it is,then i get a prompt to get genuine or try later,what do i do,thanks.

OK .. usially when u have a new PC and just installed a new Windows .. it will ask u to activate it .. ither online or by calling Microsoft guys .. it will give u like 30 days .. i guess u didn't activate it ..

just call Microsoft help desk at your country .. and they will solve it for yaa in no time ..

You must have updated one thing or the other. Open window in safe mode(press F8 repeatedly before windows starts, choose safe mode) Do your system restore to an earlier point. Hope you will be alright.

What could of happened is someone out there used a keygen & happened to come up with your CD Key, MS computers now see 2 computers out there with the same key, so it flags both as bad.

Your best bet would be contact Microsoft, or your computer manufacture.

you get that when you try to use a stolen copy of windows. pay for it an the message will go away.
