I use to wish I wasn't tall. But after a few years I was like, dang, I'm a starter on volleyball and basketball. I love being tall and I love my long legs. Embrace what you have! I bet you are to die for!

I reached 5'9" when I was 12, and I know just how you feel. Here's my advice: Don't try to look shorter. Just dress in the nicest clothes you can find--ones that make you feel pretty, or attractive, or cool, or whatever you want to express. Put together some outfits that make you feel and look your best. Then how tall you are will be less of an issue, or even a positive thing.
A practical tip: if you're small-chested, ruffles, shawl or boat-neck collars on clothes will give more volume to your silhouette where you need it and also make your shoulders look a little wider.
You've probably heard this a lot, but the day will come when you'll be glad to be 5'9"!

No way, you know how many girls would love to be your height? im 5'8" and a half and hoping to grow up to 5'11", I would flaunt it if i was you. But if you will feel more comfortable looking shorter, then i suggest not wearing skinny jeans or heels since the elongate your legs. Try flats, but then again they dont lok good with bell botoms. Dont wear the really big bell bottoms, just not straight or skinny jeans. I never heard of looking shorter tho. No matter what you'll be 5'9". Dont worry, tall is beautiful. So like i was saying, im prettytall than everyone else and i love it, and i still getto be myself. Im like the goofiest nicest person i kno. y height doesn't prevent me for anything, and it can be so for you too. ON the oppsite, you have many advantages, you have a great chance at modeling and such stuff. Or are you not interested in modeling? Also being tall is really good for sports, so imagine sports and fashion.

I'm 5'9" and also very thin. I have been this height since the age of 14 and at that age, it was really awkward for me to be that tall also. Eight years later I love the way I look in heels even if I end up being 6'1"! Don't try to be shorter, it's what sets you apart from the rest and even though it sucks sometimes, believe me, many people would consider you very lucky.

Then be yourself, be proud that you're so tall. And as far as your apperance goes, you meet the height requirements to be a model so one day instead of seeing Heidi Klum on the runway it could be you we see. As long as you wanting to be yourself then your height shouldn't matter cause that is you being yourself. If you try to change it then you're not really being yourself anymore, you're just changing yourself to make others happy.

I think you should be happy with your self. Maybe your friends want to be as tall as you. but wear thin shoes and maybe long jeans that cover your feet so that it looks a little big on you.

I dont know why do you want to look short. Tall girls are Steaming hot.. Be as you are dont try to dress into something which makes you look different. Be your self and embrace it.

you should be happy for your figure. I'm 5' 6", really curvy, and have these big black curls. But, if you want a tip, i hear thick jackets make you look 'fuller' and shorter. oh, and try curly hair. (It works for me, but my hair is natural...so good luck.)
