Is it true that there were viruses on iPods? How did they get there and are they still on iPods currently being produced? I really want to get the new 30GB iPod, but I am afraid that it will be the wrong choice. Is it possible that if it did have a virus I could get rid of it with Norton Antivirus? Does the virus effect the iPod or the computer that the iPod is connected to? Sorry to ask so many questions, but I don't want to waste $250 on a malfunctioning iPod. Please take me seriously! Thanks!!! :)

I have a 60GB video iPod, and I love it.

I have never gotten a virus (or not that I know of) on my iPod, but I do know that your iPod can get viruses. However, from what I found out, less then 1% of the iPods have gotten a virus.

I would not worry about an iPod getting a virus, especially if you have good anti-virus software.

Also, if you are really worried about it, you could just get a Creative Zen. They are pretty much the same thing as the iPod.

You can't get a virus on your iPod. It's impossible. If you want to buy an iPod, get one from Best Buy and buy a 2 year warranty with it so that way if it malfunctions, you can take it back. However...

....I don't recommend iPods because they are not quality work. Get a Microsoft Zune or a Creative Zen.

You cant get a virus on your ipod. the recent news was that a windows virus got into a certain percentage of ipods (less that 1% I believe)
Those have been removed from the stores. So you have no worry as to getting one infected woth the virus. And even if they hadnt caught this unfortunate problem. it wouldn't affect your mac, but if you had plugged it into your windows maachine, it would've affected that.

i don't think so, but if you are still concerned, get a computer geek to help you -note i am being serious-
tell him to check, if their is, go complain,
if they still don't listen
