We are TTC with no luck this month. AF came yesterday, 4 days late, so now I am not 100% sure on when I will be ovulating. I am going to try the temperature thing this month but I wanted to know what signs to look for. Is it a drop in temerature. If we have no luck in the next few months, I will get the ovulation kits, but for now we are just trying to relax about it and just have sex, but I am want to watch for the physical signs. I thought we nailed it last month, but my husband had a high fever for 3 days(101-103) about a week before ovulation, so they say that can lower the sperm count almost to the infertile range. I think that may be what happened. So anyways, tips and suggestions. I haven't notice the egg white discharge much for teh last 4 or 5 months and I have been off B/C for almost a yar. Just started trying for baby number 2 in Sept.

Ok 14 days after you start you cycle (your first day of your period) you ovulate so if it starts on the 1st of the month than on the 14th 15th or 16th you should be ovulating you have a window of about 24 hours to conceive. Best practice would be to know when you start your cycle and count from day ten to day 20 make sure you have sex at least once a day or more.
Standing on your head doing in certain positions will not increase your chances.
Our first one took 8-10 months to conceive the second only took a month so... Good luck and keep at it. Consistancy can pay off just do it every day it'll happen

If you are going to chart your temps....you need a Basal Body Temperature Thermometer. Its different that the usuals. Take you temp when you first wake up from here on in, when you ovulate your temp will rise slightly....have intercourse around this time. Keep charting your temps....if your temp stays up, its a good sign you conceived!! I had to do this for my first and it too a few months...but WOO HOO! it worked.... remember to stay relaxed and confident. Over 90% of couples will conceive within the first year..... Best of luck, take care.
