hello everyone. i am not completely tech-illiterate, i build a couple of systems but im kinda stumped on this one. i build a system a while back and one day woke up to a bluescreen. since then i swaped out all the parts and had a hardware diagnostic done and everything passed. im fairly sure there are no incompatibilities since i had it running at one point. after my system crash im constatntly getting a bluescreen during windows install. the raid drivers are from the motherboard cd, which are the newest ones i believe. now, it does it in both drives and with multiple windows cds. any suggestions would be appreciated.

the motherboard is a a8n32-sli, RAID 5.

RAID is nasty business, it's likely the root of problem.
Try to disable raid from bios and leave only one hd. if it resolves the problem, you know it's raid drivers you need.
Other way - try Linux. Get your self something like simplyMEPIS or ubuntu (download live CD after booting in to OS you can do check ups and installation) if it works - you know it's time to grow up to alternative OS.

It sounds like you MBR (Master Boot Record) may be permantly damaged. I can't really remember at the moment if taking the battery out a re-inserting restores the MBR or not. But, I do believe that may be your problem so it's worth searching the net for more info. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but hope I've giving you another concept. good luck :-)
