The easiest way to make a very pretty bracelet is to go to the crafts store (Michaels, JoAnn Fabric, Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart's crafts dept, etc) and buy some stretchy cord. 1mm is a good size, but other sizes (.5 mm or .7 mm) work, too. Then get some pretty beads in glass or plastic. Your daughter will probably know what her friend will like. Also buy some very small beads (seed beads or E beads work great for this) to put in between the regular beads. This makes the bracelet much more professional-looking, and helps the beads sit better on a wrist.

When you get it all home, cut about 10" of the stretchy cord. Tape one end to the table. I'm not kidding! This means you won't be picking up beads off the floor or carpet. Get some lids from plastic containers to put your beads on. Spread the beads out on one, and leave one empty. Line up the beads (with a little bitty one between the normal ones) in the 'track' along the edge of the empty container. When you have a pattern you like, string the beads onto the cord. Check the length by periodically having your daughter wrap it around her wrist while one end is still taped down. Don't fill up the whole cord; you need to leave plenty of space to tie it off. When it looks good and fits well, carefully untape the end and tie it off. Use a square knot or two. If you can't tie a square knot, just tie about 6 regular ones. Pull them tight. That should hold it.

You'll have a unique and beautiful present.

Tell your daughter to ask her frind what she likes(but not directly say it in the middle of a conversation or something). Or give her a nice pair of shoes.I think you get the idea.

I hope you find a nice present for her.
