soak one of your glasses in white vinager,if it removes it then a product called "glass magic"will remove the white film ....if it does not then it is etching,etching is permanent & there is nothing you can do.

No. Calicum and lime is very abrassive and has etched the class. If you want a shot, try soaking in LimeAway for several hours to see if there is any change. If not.........punt.

If you took a nail and scratched the glass,that is the same as etching.Unfortunately it is permanent.Sometimes it is because the glass is inexpensive,and will etch.Try getting heavier glasses.
