I've been quite nauseas, but haven't been vomiting or anything. I normally have a huge appetite and eat a LOT (I'm skinny and have a fast metabolism), but for about two weeks now, I always feel like my stomach is really empty, but I don't want to eat... I force myself to eat, but can only eat a small amount before I feel full, and then have that empty feeling again 20 min later. It's not really a bloated feeling, its like a tugging feeling, like its a black hole. Anyone have the same exp. or know what to do? My dr said to not be concerned and chalked it up to morning sickness, but I feel so awful ALL the time, and its not helping my fatigue either. Plus, I don't think its healthy for the baby (yes, I am taking my prenatal vitamins).

Your doctor is exactly right. At my pregnancy at the same 6 week stage, I felt like you to the T, I only ate one to 2 oranges a day, and nothing else, I also felt sick but never threw up, wait and be patient, your appetite will return in a week or so. Even when I was more heavily pregnant, I only ate twice a day, lunch and dinner. I was never hungry in the morning, I would also have dessert sometimes after supper. You are perfectly fine, and this is NORMAL. Dont worry, Honey

Since you are taking vitamins, please be assured that your baby will be, and is, fine. You suffer way more than baby does, and you really sound like I did at six weeks pregnant, and beyond. I felt nauseous and didn't like to eat, and that lasted pretty much all of my pregnancy. I was also anaemic which made me feel dizzy and want to pass out a lot, and sometimes just after I felt dizzy, I would feel VERY sick...but when my daughter was born, that all cleared up. I'm not saying that you are going to spend the whole of your pregnancy like this, and your vitamins will go a long way towards keeping you vitamin and mineral levels where they should be.

I hope that you have a healthy happy pregnancy and birth.

Everything you're going thru is completely normal for this stage of your pregnancy. For the first 12 weeks of my pregnancy, I couldn't stand the look, smell or thought of food and I lost 7 pounds. I had to force myself to eat and pasta was the only thing I could keep down.

But, don't worry. It should get better. My morning sickness ended exactly at 12 weeks and 1 day. Then my appetite returned and food didn't bother me for the rest of my pregnancy.

What you're going thru is your body reacting to the hormones. I know you don't want to hear this, but if you are skinny or underweight, you should force yourself to eat something. You probably can't afford to lose any weight. And keep an eye out for symptoms of dehydration.

Here's a website with a lot of info about morning sickness. Hope it helps.

I have the same exact thing. I am almost 11 weeks. Every woman reacts differently to pregnancy. You are very normal and nothing is wrong. You should regain your appetite after the first trimester. Good luck and congrats.

It is fairly common. If you start losing weight instead of gaining, however, you may want to see your doctor. Morning sickness can vary in everyone. As long as you are taking your prenatal vitamins you should be okay.

It could be, but I'd weigh more on the side of something medical going on. There's no way you can get into a GYN until Sept? not even like a Planned parenthood clinic or something?

This is normal. When I was pregnant, I went through the same thing. I even lost 9lbs during my first 6 weeks!

Good luck!
